The book Innovation and Knowledge Management includes selected theoretical and
practical issues. It presents selected results of analyses, studies and theoretical
considerations, as well as practical experiences of the authors working or co-operating
with the Department of Innovation Management at the Faculty of Management at Warsaw
University of Technology.
It features basic concepts, terms and their relationships with the management of
innovation and knowledge management. It presents the fundamental determinants of
creativity of activity and innovation in the organisation. It presents the principles of
organising teams of creative problem solving, of the classical organising structures for
the implementation of innovative projects and of changes in the direction of the network
and virtual organisation. Basic factors decisive for mapping the structure and for the
selection of planning methods for innovative undertakings are presented. The publication
identifies and describes selected methods and techniques available for use in managing
innovation, at the same time presenting the research results regarding their practical
application.
